When to use MBT specifically?
- Retrofit and Repair: Existing structure where bars are already concreted and you cannot rotate them
- Column Extension / Raft to Column: Starter bars bent, need to connect without threading on site
- Bridges & Confined Spaces: Advantages for Bridge Construction - No threading or welding required, Faster installation
- Plain round bars or old imperial bars in heritage structures
Standards
Tested as per IS 16172:2014 / 2023, ACI 318 Type 1 & Type 2, BS 8110. Should meet same slip <0.1mm and bar-break criteria as threaded coupler.
