Installation of U-Shape PVC Footsteps

Installing U-Shape PVC Footsteps is a straightforward process that can be done during or after construction:

Installation Process (Drive-in Type):

Step 1: Mark the Positions
With the help of a bubble level rule, mark the ends where the step will be inserted. Take the centre of each side of the rod as reference. Depending on the model, the distance will be 300 mm, 320 mm, 330 mm, 340 mm, or 380 mm, from centre to centre.

Step 2: Maintain Proper Spacing
Repeat the process with each manhole step, leaving a recommended distance of 250 mm between the step irons.

Step 3: Drill the Holes
Once the marks have been made, drill with a concrete drill bit of 25 mm diameter to the required depth, leaving a perfect hole for the insertable part of the manhole steps.

Important: If holes are not made accurately (for example, too large), the step will not be well fixed. In this case, the hole must be filled with mortar, putty, or chemical plug.

Step 4: Insert the Step
Hit the rung with several firm strokes at the sweet spots. Once fixed, strike at the same sweet spots until the total insertion depth is achieved, so that only the rectangular or round part of the step is visible.

The ends of the anchor are round and slightly conical. They act like harpoons once placed, which ensures that the step is totally immobile.

Step 5: Ready to Use
Your manhole step ladder is ready to be used. If the installation was correct, the rungs will withstand tensile forces greater than 800 kg.
